People, technology and business are at the core of everything Aston Social CEO, Daniel Martin, puts his hand to and have been the guiding principles behind the formation of his first business, social media agency, Aston Social.
Working with his Aston Social clients, he identified that there was a pressing need for businesses to connect quickly and directly with consumers in order to generate ideas or seek input into products, services, strategies or campaigns.
The distinct lack of connection between business outcomes and social media strategy became apparent through engagements with clients both big and small, precipitating the launch of Aston Social’s specialist strategy development program.
Since starting in 2012 Daniel and Aston Social have helped businesses large and small, private, public and government better understand their social media strategies, better implement them and overall get more out of their digital marketing.
Qualifications and Experience
Daniel is formally qualified from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Network Engineering (Honours). A focus on computer science and the more technical side of the Internet has given Daniel an exceptional understanding of how the inner workings of social media and websites operate.
Starting life as a network engineer and later software engineer, Daniel moved into technical sales and sales roles with large American software firms including Computer Associates and Microsoft. Later diversification into a sales role with a specialist digital agency led Daniel to expand his technical knowledge into the theory of marketing, more specifically digital marketing.
